Sagar Veena concerts and Raza Kazim’s lectures in Delhi and Bhopal, India

On August 23, 2008, while participating in a two-day convention on Hindustani music and partition at the Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, Raza Kazim shared his theoretical and practical work of the past 38 years on music with a large number of scholars and musicians from India and Pakistan. On the last day of the convention, Noor Zehra Kazim, also gave a debut (in India) performance on the Sagar Veena. On August 28, 2008, Raza again gave a stimulating lecture on music and philosophy at the Bharat Bhavan in Bhopal and Noor Zehra gave a presentation on the Sagar Veena. Another concert of the Sagar Veena was also held for a large audience at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on September 2, 2008. Famous Sitar Player Ustad Shujaat Khan’s visit to Sanjannagar

On Dec 22, 2007, Ustad Shujaat Khan, the famous Sitar player from India came on a three-day visit to meet the Director and to test the stringed instrument Shruti Bahar, the redesigned version of the instrument Surbahar, made in the Institute.
